Those are expressions of Manggaraian when they adore a girl. They often admire a girl with some of comparations. There are popular expressions: Pacun neho lasar pau, rangan neho lasar pandang. Those expressions want to say that: Her cheek like a slice of manggoes, her face like a slice of pineapple. I can take an example: Imus'esen neho wela timung - Her smile like a flower of cucumber; curupn neho wela ndusuk - her words like a flower of melastoma; nain neho wela raci - her heart like a flower areca (nut); baron neho wela karot - her report like a flower of mimosa pudica; lelon neho wela renggong - her looks like a flower of (sonchus arvensus in Latin and tempuyung in Javanese).

And, when they are asking a girl in marriage, will use those comparations, parables. Example: Neka rabo ami mai weda rewa tuke mbaru ai kut reko kala rana dise Inang agu Amang, cala tiba koe lite sina? - Sorry Uncle and Aunt, our coming here just want to pick up the young betel leaf of yours, whether you are accepting our offer, now? Uncle and aunt be named as a Anak Rona, awhile the man is Anak Wina. When the Anak Wina said like that and Anak Rona accepts the offer so the Anak Rona says: Toem co'on nana landing eme hitu muing toko racap lorong nggeru agu lo'on lelos pu'ung one mai hi nana lawang henu bom anak reak meu kut rojok pion ka'eng kilos. Ami toem po'e ai lorong wintuk agu patun de Jari - We don't refused, maybe that is yours life summon suitable both of your will, not just your will but our young girl also because you are not a little child. We can't to forbid both of yours will because that is a will of God too.

All those parables above: sara to puser are names of tree and grasses. Many of trees and grasses can be united with a girl or a man. Those words have to form a 'durit' syntax, for example: rangan lasar pandang, kanta bantang cama manga mantar. Durit syntax is a sentence which is dominated by a vocal. Let we are observing this syntax accurately that is not other vocal there is one alphabet, i.e: just A not the others alphabet there. Yeah, that is mentioned as durit sentence.

Based on the study of the Lembaga Studi Budaya dan Sejarah Manggarai (LSBSM) of Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) that still many expressions, parables of Manggaraian. All those parables are not yet being translated by me until now. I just writte down in Manggarai language, don't have many times to translate in Indonesia and in English. In addition, Manggarai language is very difficult to be translated in Indonesia language.
